Michael Glicker's Story

I was still working as an electrical contractor when I began training in energy healing. Why the interest in energy healing? It started when I was taking classes in 1981 at the Michigan Metaphysical Society in Expanded Awareness, Psychic Development, and Psychometry (the reading of the energy in an object).

In Psychometry, we practice reading objects the classmates bring in. In the fifth class, while doing a reading for a European woman, whom I did not know, the experience of "Remote Viewing" happened for the first time. I saw still shots connected to this woman's life which were as clear as if the person were there in front of me. First, I described a friend of hers. She said, "Yes, that is Martha, my friend." Then, I described a 6 ft. 2 in. slim man, who looked like a lawyer, carrying a briefcase and walking down a narrow hallway. It was her boyfriend, a lawyer who fit the description perfectly. Both of these were done with Remote Viewing. It's like looking at a slide.

I told her she had a friend in Czechoslovakia with whom she did ballet and that the red ballet shoes received as a gift were very precious to her. This was done by Direct Knowing (knowing the whole concept at once) which had never happened to me before either. The European woman got so excited that she jumped up and ran to the teacher, shouting, "Michael told me all of these things. Michael told me all these things." I also read a quiet man, describing his exact office while looking at each wall.

It was the experiences of that day that made me a believer in metaphysics and psychic work. I had no reason to believe in these realms before.

During a reading from my psychometry teacher, I was told that I could do many things with my hands and could be a Healer. After that I asked her, "what's a healer?"

That is why I began training at The Prayer Healing Center at the Unity Church in Austin, doing about 700 one-hour sessions from 1987 to 1994. Sessions were held in the chapel where 10-12 massage tables were set-up. Since I was shy about touching people, the seven years brought a lot of growth in learning how to connect with others physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The sicker the person was, the more focused I became. The work at the Prayer Healing Center became a gift of wisdom because of the verifications I received over and over again--yes you really are doing this, it is really happening.

Apprenticeship in hands-on healing.

Reiki Master.
Received teachings and attunements from Rev. Beth Gray, who received her training from Hawayo Takata, Grand Master in the direct spiritual lineage of Mikao Usui, & Chujiro Hayashi. The Usui System of Natural Healing.

The Barbara Brennan School of Healing.

Graduated in 1996 from the four-year school included 18 mandatory 1-hour therapy sessions per year completed outside of the school. This school is considered to be the most prestigious healing school in the world.

Four-day intensive at the Seven Oaks Pathwork Center, in Madison, Virginia in 1993 with Susan & Donovan Thesenga. The study of Pathwork is included in the Barbara Brennan School, and is still on going in my personal study.
